The Christian Science Society in The Dalles, Oregon, is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, MA. It is located at 701 Washington St., The Dalles. It has been a beacon in the community since 1932. Sunday Services are at 10 a.m.

 

I am a member of the CS Society of The Dalles, as well as a member of The Mother Church in Boston. It would be a joy for me to introduce you to our church (in The Dalles) by welcoming you to our services, our reference library, or to answer your questions about our church's activities and outreach.

 

Everyone in the community is invited to attend our services, which consist of dynamic readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook. These lessons offer a radical and revolutionary perspective, with an emphasis on contemporary Christian healing. We hope you will share in this educational and inspirational service.

Each week offers a different subject designed to awaken thought to a radical, healing outlook, and presents Christ's healing message in a way that makes truth practical in your daily experience. Our members are happy to answer questions following the service, and to refer you to literature which will help you to develop a tangible sense of God's goodness and nearness, a deeper understanding of your relationship to God, along with the sense of purpose, significance and meaning that comes when we realize that we are children of God!

 

Our reference library contains over 125 years of articles on Christian healing along with testimonies of healing resulting from the study and application of Christian Science. These include verified accounts of the healing of physical difficulties, addiction, relationship challenges, employment, depression, grief, and many other difficulties. You may request an appointment to research Christian healing with one of our church members who can help you to access articles on any topics which may be of special interest to you. These resources are free to use in our library, but books and periodicals can also be purchased. You may obtain a complimentary copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy by attending one of our Sunday morning services. Just let an usher know that you would like to have a copy of the textbook.
